The Easiest Life

Matthew 11:28-30: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Proverbs 13:15: Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

I dare not say that being a Christian and serving the Lord is easy but Jesus said it is. It is certainly easier than the alternative. So how can you get into the Lord*s will? By exchanging your own will for His.

Being in the Lord*s will is the easiest life. You have all the power of the universe with you instead of against you. It is like going with the current instead of against it. It is like going with the wind instead of against it.

Being out of the Lord*s will is like driving a car that only has one gear, reverse. It has no steering wheel to turn around and back up in the right direction. It is in a rut so deep that you couldn*t turn it around even if you had a steering wheel. And it is backing down a steep incline with the wind and with no brakes.

Romans 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

John 7:17: If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Proverbs 16:3: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
